Folks in the wonderful world of RRS port, I'm currently suffering with a strange vibration at 60+ mph {although could be there at lower speeds to but not as noticeable.

Have recently had a new rear prop fitted as centre bearing was shot which has reduced the vibration a bit, and has got rid of one noise that I had.

Have had all 4 wheels balanced this mooring and they were out by 60-80grms per wheel, but this had not cured the vibration. It seems to be worse when going up hill or on the flat and if much reduced going down hill.

It doesn't seem to matter what gear I'm in it appears to be more road speed, although not found a decent empty stretch of motorway to knock out if gear to see if it goes then. I skittles add that there is also a deep rumbling around with the vibration which is a very rhythmic sort of thudding sound for want of a better term.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? Oh and sorry for the long post but thought I'd add as much info as possible 😁😁 2006 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6 (The Baby one as I keep being told)

Hi Eskimo, did you ever solve this? I have very similar.

It turned out the NSF inner cv joint had totally failed. The only thing holding it together was the cv boot!

Had the wheel bearing changed at the same time and all been good since the swap.

Might be worth popping your RRS into a good reliable indy near you and have them investigate.
