SVR Exhausts

Put this under a topic in orders but thought I'd put it in its own topic in general;

My car sometimes sounds loud with the exhaust button off and quiet with the exhaust button on !!

Was wondering if anyone had some pictures of what their cars looked like.

My understanding was that when the engine was warm the two outer exhausts should be completely closed to keep the sound level low and the two inner pipes have no valves in them, is this roughly correct?

Maybe they've just made the MY21.5 a bit louder than the MY19 cars, not sure.

Anyway anyone's thoughts would be cool. Non JLR Vehicle

Cheers mate watched that

So Im guessing after car warms up they go back to being closed until a certain RPM.

The two inner ones on mine are closed with the car off, will need to let car warm up then have a look and see if the inner two exhaust valves are still showing as closed.

Do they do any test routine to easily check.

Might just be my car playing up or they've increased the noise a bit somehow on the MY21.5 cars.

Also do they stay closed in comfort mode until a certain RPM then open anyway?

As when I press the exhaust button you can definitely hear the sound change a bit.

But even with the exhausts button off in comfort mode once you get about 2500-3000rpm it starts to get loud again anyway.

The MY19 car I had for a while seemed a bit quieter in comfort mode but maybe its just in my head.

Hi ya,

Becoming an expert on this lol.
A recent update, 6 months or so, they did go a slight bit louder.
I gave up on JLR sound so did my own. I have a device that is a remote that opens the valves fully, anytime you wish. Does sound better. I then also had a PCW exhaust mod that made it 80% towards the original SVR. All on imstergram if you guys like to hear it. 2018 SVR
