Deployable side step / jacking point woes

Hi all

I dropped a major b@lock last week and despite having jacked my car numerous occasions without incident, for some inexplicable reason I decided to jack with the side steps deployed Big Cry

As a result the rear passenger bracket snapped, looks like the furthest back pin has popped out. The step will still deploy but now won’t retract and is a bit floppy. The local land rover specialist is making noises (taking it for a look tomorrow) about replacing the pair. I can’t find any specific info about the L494 but the velar looks to be a straight forward job to replace a bracket. There’s a part on eBay for £229. Am I barking up the wrong tree here or are there any other issues I need to consider? The front bracket and motor work fine. Thanks MY15.5 HSE - SDV6 - Santorini Black
