I had to use my spare wheel this morning as my front off-side tyre had a nail in it Sad

The "space saver" spare is exactly the same size as those fitted to the car, but both teh wheel and tyre are a different style. Any idea why ??

Do any of you guys who have fitted alternative wheel types want to sell your black spares ?
I think it would look pretty cool with 4 of them fitted. If you do, drop me a PM.

Cheers,
Paul

Well I like them. I've never been into the flashy, bling style of wheel and the black ones look pretty mean.
They may need repainting gloss black rather than the satin finish, but I think the rugged look is seriously cool Thumbs Up

Sorry Martin,
I fully intended to be there, But I had it in my mind it was this coming weekend and was both surprised and disappointed when I realised I had missed it. My apologies are also due to TB. Sorry Big Cry

Paul

They look tiny in the pic because to change a wheel you have to jack suspension up to off-road setting.

They are 19".

There must be a reason why they are restricted to 50mph/80kph! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Ah, all my tyres got changed on lifts at the local tyre emporium so didn't get to see the effect Wink

Not sure why it's rated so low... the tyre is a standard tyre, so must be the wheel itself?

The sticker just peels off, hence the clean patch on the photo I posted Smile

The wheel and tyre is exactly the same size as the standard HSE 10-spoke alloys.

I've taken expect advice and there is no apparent reason for the speed restriction other than that on cars fitted with 20" wheels, there would be a size differential, which would be cause for limiting the size.

Paul
