Land Rover Employee - Threats to burn my car / house

Driving incident happened whilst I was driving in London, a white Skoda Fabio BP69NYA pulls up next to me and tells me that he works for Land Rover and reads off my number plate and tells me when he finds my address that it’s burned.

We are sure the car he was driving is from a leasing company from a company based in Lancashire.

I’ll be contacting all the Land Rover dealers in that area in the morning, if anyone recognises him, let me know. It’s in his best interest that he contacts me before I find him.

My car is registered to my parents address, so I would like to pass on my address, so he can target the correct address.

What's his problem then ? Bit of a strange threat to come out with any reason for it.

It was over a simple lane discipline incident and then he rolled up next to me and issued the threat and drove off.

I’ll try and work out how to upload the video here.

It's tempting to tell Plod but they won't be interested and won't do anything about it. Be nice to have a record of doing so if anything further happens, however. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I’m struggling to see how being a LR employee has any relevance Joined the X5 45e club

Report it to the police on 101, let them deal with it. I would like to think they would go and have a word with him, especially if you have a recording of him making the threat.

Being an LR employee might give him the ability to do a vehicle search and find out details from a service or other invoice.

As for telling plod, I would, just in case this escalates.

If you can get into trouble for using your fingers to resemble a gun and point it at someone, threats like these should not be brushed under the carpet, you might find your pride and joy 'keyed' one morning, then how would you feel.

When you request details like he states from DVLA he has to declare a valid reason. I would love to see how he validates that one. And if he really wants to burn a house, I’ll give him my address, he would do me a favour. 2012 5.0 SC AB

When he rolled next to me, he said that he works for Land Rover and when he finds my address it’s burned.

I guess he’s referring to finding my address accessing the Land Rover database 🤷‍♂️

Plod would be interested, his driving could be classed as 'reckless'.

Report it to LRCS? An “employee” threatening to burn customer cars/ houses is pretty serious, I’m sure that LR or if not the factory then the dealership he works for would set their HR people on him. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
