Can I just buy a data sim and put it in the slot and everything then works ?

Whether it works or not will be interesting. Mine never did due to a wiring fault somewhere in the ( brand new) car. It was one reason I got rid of it at a huge loss. Much happier with my M3 and runaround 8 year old A4 Allroad.

Put the sim in the car tonight and the satnav now has updated and shows satellite maps and traffic live shows on the screen.
Odd part it I went in to a couple of things on the screen and it tells me to check internet connection but it must be conected or the satnav wouldn't have updated.
