RRS ownership is a slippery slope..

No sooner am I into a reasonable condition TDV8, and have finally realised that I do actually gel with the car and enjoy driving it (having fixed a few of its original faults) and knowing how much better it could be with the suspension properly sorted..

..than I realise I really, really want a nice Supercharged 5.0, because I enjoy driving it that much.

MPG is a bit off-putting, but.. I keep browsing Autotrader anyway. Censored Whistle

Once you’ve driven the SC you will ignore the more frequent visits to the petrol station. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Laughing Laughing You are both right, I'm sure..

..it might have to remain a pipedream for the next year or so though, as if I spend the wedding fund on a car there might not be a wedding - and I'll be buried under the patio! Mr. Green

Need to time it right though before either a) they are mostly sheds or b) prices start to rise.. I'm good at timing it wrong; I already missed the 911 930 boat and then missed the 911 993 boat to boot Laughing I could hop on the 996 boat, but who wants the ugly one? Is the tank bigger on the v8 then? I get around 410 - 430 miles out of a tank on the v6. Kev

84 litres diesel, 88 petrol according to h/book. This is what mine does if you believe the lie-o-meter on the dash. Laughing

What Col has failed to mention here, is that to get his displayed MPG as good as it is, he turned his engine off to save fuel. Sneaky! 2012 5.0 SC AB

Blast, I hoped nobody would notice as I didn't like to show it's only 3.6 mpg when the engine is running in case nobody believed me it was that good on fuel. Whistle

Poland 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

Mine gets roughly 10 UK MPG in city driving as low end torque accelerations are quite fun BUT if you step on (you get even lower MPG, which my Lie-ometer doesn't seem to always notice, but i certainly do) it you can see the fuel level dropping. Putting it into dynamic mode "changes throttle response" which, when it comes to fuel economy has only got one effect similar to drilling a hole in the tank. Then the fuel just disappears. The flip side is the amount of points I get on BP petrol stations the in Poland Whistle
