Active Roll Control Module

Well, apparently mine is stuffed and I need a new one Sad

According to a Landrover dealer, you need to buy a new one as they need to be programmed to the car, so you can't use a second hand one - is that correct?

Anything else I should be knowing about this?

Car had Suspension Lean fail and orange light on dash. We've checked the compressor and that's all fine, changed a couple of rear ride height sensors, put my AT3s back on (instead of the remould MTs) but it now won't calibrate for ride height.

The Dynamic Response Control Module contains two tunes - one for the TDV8, the other for TDV6 and petrol versions. Presumably the weight of the TDV8 is sufficient to require a different set up. The choice of tune is selected when the module is first installed. I wonder if this is what they are referring to. It might be worth trying a 2nd hand TDV6 one if you can find one cheap enough. Obviously avoid one from a TDV8 in case the tune choice is a one shot deal. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Then there won't be a module to fail, will there? Whistle

Dynamic Response Control Module is what the "active roll control module" is. It's separate to the air suspension control module. The former is on the passenger side above the footwell, the latter is above the driver's footwell (on RHD). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Even a second hand one can be reprogrammed! It’s just an EPROM so worst case is just need a reflash. Why are they saying the module is stuffed? 2012 5.0 SC AB

Lean error on the dashboard with

Active Roll Control

C1A00-01 (AF) Control module - General failure information - general electrical failure
( at 251558 km )

Another device used also says a similar thing & my indy had someone else check, who said the same thing.

Car noticeably (RRSTDV8 following) leaning on corners over what you'd expect standard (feels a bit rolly too). Compressor works as should and has been "serviced". Rear roll/height sensors replaced as well as rear arms.

All wiring correct and undamaged. Both ARCs working 100% with no fluid leaks.

Car won't calibrate ride height.

Is it defo C1A00-01 as that code suggests an issue with the wiring harness or damaged isolation switch. -04, 43,45,46 would be associated with a module internal failure. Have you checked the plug at the terrain switch? 2012 5.0 SC AB

That's what came up on IID that I captured back in Feb though they have subsequently used another tool(s) to come up with their prognosis. The wiring & plugs have all been checked.
