Lee,

And there we have it, so what they need to know is are they going to have another car rejected or are they going to correct the faulty paintwork which orginally come from SVO.

Surely they know the trouble that you have been through and the patience and time you have wasted on this whole new car scenario. Censored Censored

Again, totally personal to me, but, if i had gone through everything that you have gone through and then it has come to the point where SVO are not willing to correct their faulty paintwork, which has been agreed as faulty by their representatives at the dealership then i would seriously consider another manufacturer and having a full refund back on the car. I know you love the car but imagine if the paintwork does not match as it should after it has been corrected if taken to a normal paint shop where do you stand then??
Who actually told you that SVO don’t want to know?? It might be worth a call direct to SVO to see if this is the case.

Good luck mate, and i hope you get what you want.
Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Yeah the dealership told me they don’t have them back, when I rejected my other SVR they don’t sctually go back to Land Rover, all that happens is they give a cash contribution to the dealership to enable the dealership to replace the car then it’s up for the dealership to fix the faulty one and sell it.

If the paintwork doesn’t match then I will be rejecting the car!

Cheers mate, I will keep you posted on the outcome Thumbs Up 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!

Having to have a new car painted would really Censored me off.

I would certainly feel better if it was going back to SVO though, how ridiculous. Censored SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

It is Censored me off Paul, that’s why if the paint matches I want some sort of compensation to have to live with a car that has been painted! 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!

I also had to reject my 2017 RRS so can appreciate your frustration. I wouldn’t worry about it not going back to SVO if I was you, despite all the claims on the LR website the cars are rushed through SVO which is why issues like this arise. There are excellent body shops out there that will be able to match the colour and finish perfectly. Make sure it goes to a body shop you are comfortable with. Chances are they’ll do an amazing job and you’ll get you car back and be able to enjoy it.

I have my fears that the paint will be as its meant to be. I am old enough Sad to remember when metallic first appeared & body shops had to repaint the whole car to achieve the proper look even though it was only a door that needed painted. Paint technology has come on leaps & bounds since then but the basic problem remains that body shops are presented with something new & to a large extent they are on a learning curve.
Your paintwork will have a transition in colour as the light hits it or you walk around it. This should be a seamless colour change & I cant see how it can be achieved unless it goes back to the "experts" JLR. It will probably look good just standing there but will it look as good with the transition. Make sure you pick it up on a sunny day when it should be at its best.
By the way, I love the colour & hope its turns out for the best Thumbs Up

That's whats concerning me, with it being a colour change paint i have a feeling the rear door and the front wing will look different in the transition process and like you say it will show different in different lights Rolling Eyes 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!

Be patient, knowing that it is not perfect. Take your time to sort out all deficiencies with the dealership,

Should you think of rejection, there are 3 Madagascar SVR's on A/trader. A 2018 with 1600 miles £110k. May be an option

Is this just the a result of the poor finish on the inside edge of the driver's door? I'm ultra fussy, but if I'm honest I probably wouldn't bother getting the door repainted if it wasn't visible from the outside. I'd expect compensation from the dealer and/or JLR though instead. Are there any dealer fit options that you want? Perhaps a professional detail and ceramic coating?

Rolling with laughter Probably is his previous car or 3. I'm in agreement with jd2uk, if it is not visible don't get it repainted, see what they will give you. Should be worth a fair bit. Paint protection film all over is what I would be asking for.
