L320 Folding Rear seats how ? 2012

I have a 2012 RRS , I can fold the seats partially down using the little handles on either side of the seats which obviously lowers them and doesnt leave the area flat , more like a steep slope.

I may be missing something obvious here but how do i make them flat ?

Thanks

I assume you have hinged the seat cushion forward first.

Cheers

You’ll find at the back of the seat cushion (the bum bit) a material lug that you can grab and pull the seat base up and over into the footwell, then bring the backs down. Sometimes the lug gets tucked away out of sight but you should feel it.

If in doubt read the instructions Very Happy

But as said - lift the seat bases first then fold the backs down - a tip though - move the front seats forward first then slide back to your seating position after the rear seats are down. Do not leave the rear seats down for any period of time as you will get permanent marks and indentations in the seat faces. I have considered putting a large towel down between the bottom section of the seat and the backs of the front seats and if anything is in the underseat storage compartment the same for the backs of the rear seats. 07MY RRS TDV6

You'll probably find that the tabs for pulling up the seat bases have disappeared behind the seats, you'll have to fish for them,,, always happens on mine. Lower the headrests as far as they'll go. 2010 RRS, TDV8

I've looped a long plastic cable tie around each of the seat tags. You can hide them behind the seat but it's a hell of a lot easier to pull them out when you need them. Barrie.
