New toy.... what should i look for

Hello. Very Happy

I am off to test drive and buy (hopefully) a supercharged beastie today.
LB55 VZG
140000 MILES

i know to check everything actually works
rise and fall of the suspension

What else should I be looking out for?

Findlay

Anything else from anyone else?

I'm a bit nervous and excited at the same time!

If the aux pump for the supercharger has not been changed check to see if it falls within the range as quite a few came out of the factory with them wired the wrong way which when driven hard can make them go into limp mode you can search on here about it Thumbs Up

these do 13 MPG on fuel

check the fluid level container on the air box (ACE) is on a mark, and doesn't drop after your test drive. (it may go up when hot) this can be expensive to repair if dropping/leaking

On cold startup, listen for any chain rattle from front of engine, and knock off ~£800 if loud/bad

Also listen for a rattle on the snout of the supercharger.
The plastic clutch can be worn and this will cause rattle in idle.

Dealers don’t put the log book in their name.
