Ok. Good luck Thumbs Up

Your only really paying £70 for your steering wheel buttons to work and some connectors. But it could be worse

BTW, the car connector does not have an ignition supply available, that would usually connect to the red or yellow head unit wire.

So you will probably need to run a wire from under the cigar light socket (green wire?) to the head unit.

So if it doesn't work when you plug it in, follow the red and yellow wire and you will see what I mean

Ok so I had a response from InCarTec today with a list of components I will need and yes they have the ability to keep the satnav/4x4 screen still working but it means the original stereo has to still be installed but somewhere in behind the dash but will still loose audio from the satnav but can buy another really expensive cable to get the satnav audio to work. all in its going to be well over £200 just for the cables and to be honest im not keen on fitting the original stereo in behind the dash and I don't consider the satnav much good anyway.

So this is the kit for stereos' that do not have the amp and fibre optic cables but do have 2 fibre optic cables running from the stereo to the satnav/4x4 screen

Heres a list of components they sent me....

https://incartec.co.uk/Landrover/Range-Rov...le-din/154

if your car has standard audio with sat nav but no Harmon Kardon then you need

29-712
50-786
51-012
21-106
29-007 ( for Pioneer)

The old sat nav will work but you will lose the voice.. to keep voice use 10-651

I ended up buying the Connects2 CTKLR03 harness from fleabay which will run double din units but will lose satnav screen

My Xtrons double din head unit arrived today and im just waiting for the harness to arrive which should be tomorrow. My last Xtrons unit I owned was amazing and I installed IGO satnav on it and found it to be spot on and really good so I will happily use that one and not bothered about the satnav/4x4 screen being off (annoying at night anyway)

As the Xtrons unit is a universal unit when I sell the car I will just remove it and put the original back in.

I will take pics of the install and post them up.

As you say the standard nav is hopeless.
No point paying to have it working.

I think you probably need to unplug the connectors on the display above, (well the main connector with all the wires)

Otherwise just get stuck on the landrover logo doesn't it? and annoying at night.

Ok but thinking about it I don't think it came on when I plugged the new stereo in but maybe just didn't notice it, too dark to go and try again so will see at the weekend. I don't think it will come on without the optic cables but yeah good point and will sort that at the weekend when installing

Cheers Andy Thumbs Up

I don't know if you intend to use the analogue radio, but if you do, make sure the ariel amplifiers are being powered up via the blue wire

OK, yeah will be, from experience the DAB+ is almost none existant around here.

Do you know which wires are the ariel amplifiers? Are they on the main big connector that plugs into the stereo or the smaller one that I can't plug in anywhere?

right, yeah I got the usual blue auto ant wire on the adapter from Connects2 that is floating and I have a blue wire on the connector for the Xtrons units which has Back-car on the label which is also floating, you think these need to be connected?
