Any scrap value for damaged Alloy 20"

I got a small crack in one of my 20" alloys and after reading on here that it is a false economy to repair as they often fail.

I now ask the question of whether there is any value to the damaged alloy and if so, how much ? Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

If ones ceacked, the rest will follow. Sell them as a set, one with a crack and buy a new set or a set of good original 2nd hand wheels. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Dare I say that SWMBO did a 2 and a half hour drive to an airport and back and on the way back the front o/s wheel was making a grinding noise, which had stopped by the time she got back it had stopped. The following morning I had a puncture on the rear wheel o/s wheel, and when I took it in to be repaired they found the crack in the wheel. Upon inspection of the front o/s wheel the brake pads were low and believe the grinding noise was possibly the metal edge catching which may have been caused by an impact initially, or even something like a small stone was caught in the brake.

The bottom line is that two separate incidents occurred to two separate wheels (both on the same side) on the same journey and I'm not a great believer in coincidences, so my theory is that SWMBO hit or ran over something.

Yes I did ask the question of SWMBO and did not dispute her answer of NO !! Without CCTV, several independent eye witnesses and forensic evidence which would still prove a challenge to get her to admit, I'm just making a living hell for myself and will sit quietly whilst rocking to and fro Big Cry Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

I think you may have played it correctly. It’s not worth the constant grief. The occasional reminder is essential though and the she can say things like “you will never let it go will you!” 2012 5.0 SC AB

my big fear if I keep on is that she will get a good grip on my throat and then she will be saying "I will never let it go" Rolling with laughter Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
