Hi all

So my parking sensors stopped working and I had the codes read and it's the front right. Doing the ticking test they all tick except this one. All good so far. Read that you can access the sensor via the fog lamp hole, so removed the fog lamp. Still all good so far. However I must have fat arms that don't bend properly as I'm bemused as to how I can actually remove the sensor. I can touch it but I've tried pushing/pulling/trying to find clips etc to no avail. All I've achieved is chewing up my arm on the fog light mounting bits

Any enlightenment?

OK so to answer my own post.

Couldn't do much from the fog lamp hole, so removed the headlight. Could reach down into the bumper and feel the sensor. With a torch I saw it was seated at 90 degrees and could see one of the latches/clips keeping the sensor inside the bumper casing on the top. With a bar with a flat end I managed to lift this clip an my wife the sensor from the front with a screwdriver/soft mallet. The sensor came out into the bumper. Fitted and tested new sensor and then refitted from inside. All working.

Now need my arm to recover from the abuse it got from the fog light hole.

yeah there are 3 clips I think.

And if they have been in a while the mud holds them in well.


Good result/plan though.

I'm also used a socket from a socket set to push them out
