Tdv8 injector change

Have had a intermittent misfire on cylinder 2 for a little while and have some spare cash. Am going to buy an injector and fit myself. I am handy with a spanner and would like to do this myself.

Now I have changed petrol injectors before but never a diesel one. Are there specific things I need to do? As I understand the fuel system is pressurised and my old man thinks I'm crazy for wanting to attempt it.

I don't see any how to's on here, haven't looked at the disco site yet.

Just looking for some advice 👍

Normally no big job...

Remove acoustic engine cover & locate the injector.
Remove the electrical connector
Remove the small locking pin from the injector leak pipe(watchout to not lose it!)
Pull injector leak pipe out of injector
Loosen the injector feed fuel pipe (17mm) (some diesel will come out, not alot)
Loosen injector clamp (2x 8mm)
Remove injector (sometimes a bit stuck in the head, rotating the injector will release it out of the head)
Check that you remove the copper washer too.

Replace copper washer with new
Install in reverse order Smile
