Heated washer nozzles

Has anyone out there with the cold climate pack, had experience with the heated washer nozzles. As it has only now just got cold enough to freeze the water in them I had no idea if they worked of not, it looks may mine are not. LR say they are on the same ECU as the heated mirrors, which do heat. Fuse checked and OK. Does any one out there know if they only work down to a certain temp., or if it takes a while for the heater element to work.
Censored of a drive to work the other day with no washing for the screen.

Nigel, I think the cold climate pack is standard on the HSE and therefore will include heated washers. It's possible that your secreenwash concentration was too weak and the fluid just froze whilst stationary, not having time to melt and work normally on your journey. Anyway, your first action should always be to go and see the nice man at your local dealership as a warranty issue. After the mandatory "never heard of that one before", he should get on fix it for you. Good Luck! Thumbs Up

My RRS HSE got all frosted up last week and I could clearly see the frost around the washer nozzles had cleared after a short while so mine do work.

However, a day or so later it was colder but not frosty and the washers wouldn't work.

I assumed that the washer fluid had frozen in the pipe so maybe this happenened to you too? It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

I miss my old RRS "bucket" rattling around but it just had to go!

Yes, mine always defrosted in the winter... there's no on/off switch though, they just worked. It might be linked to the heated front screen switch....

I think the heated door mirrors are on all of the time. No on or off switch and they are not linked to any other system in the car either. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. It's nice to know that when the summer gets here and we're all roasting in 40C temps that the mirrors will still be happily heating up Wink
