IID Tool - How to change to following please??

I now have my IID Tool but it scares me silly going through all the settings just in case I change something I shouldn't... Shocked So if anybody has a step by step guide on how I can do the following it would be a big help.... Thumbs Up

Locking CHIRP I thought it might be nice to have the addition of the reassuring CHIRP when locking or unlocking the car. This can be enabled via the IID I think? Anybody know how to do it?

Also

Follow Me Home Reverse lights

This can be enabled so that when you use the third button on the key remote, the front lights come on, press it a second time and with this enabled, it will put the reverse lights on as well. GREAT.... Thumbs Up Again anybody know how to do it?

Anything else worth changing/doing......?? Cheers Laurence.

Step 1

Connect up beefy charger to the battery before making Ccf changes to prevent you bricking the car!
Maybe worth waiting a few days until it warms up.

It’s easy to select reverse follow me home.
Just look thru the Ccf tested list.

Haven’t seen a chirp option.

You get the gap iid app on your phone from app store
You register it the tool to car
Plug the tool into car
Turn ignition on
Run app and search for tool
Goto Ccf update

There is an iid subforum in www.Disco3.co.uk
Which may help

Connect tool and wait for main menu to load, go down list to CCF configuration touch on that it will then load confirmed list, touch on that it show ecu list on left, touch BCM Body Control will then show list on right of all the files in the BCM they are alphabetical so alarm chirp is close to the top, touch on it a screen will come up with enable-disable option on it touch enable, if you then go back to the file list go down to "F" you will find the "Follow me home reverse" setting just enable the same as previous, as you exit it will ask you to confirm changes just touch yes and wait for it to change the settings and follow the on screen instruction. It really isn't as daunting as it appears, I do prefer to use a ipad rather than a phone though simply as you have a bigger display. As said though make sure battery is well up just to be sure.

Cheers
Col

At the final stage when you tell it to make updates to whole Car goes a bit mad. This is normal.

Eg dash gauges, display, radio, climate

I don’t know about anyone else’s car but my clock always re-sets to 12 o’clock.

I also like to have a play in the Demo mode shown in GAP APP, you obviously can’t do much but it does let you play with things and practice from the comfort of your living room before going out and having a go on the car.

I’ve just bought a VCM2 as the GAP can’t edit some of the files I want it to but it’s a lot more cumbersome and complex compared to the GAP. I also don’t think it’s locked to a VIN. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Really stoopid question but can the IID tool set the clock time on the dash? Having removed the OE stereo, the time on the dash starts from when the battery is connected and is not changeable obviously.

Not the end of the world 'cos I just set it to estimated range and watch that drop instead.

You could disconnect the battery and reconnect it at midnight Wink '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil
