United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Its a built in heater that kicks in on cold mornings to help everything warm up that extra bit quicker

aka. FBH (Fuel Burning Heater)

https://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Fuel_Burning_Heater

and here for browsing info.

https://www.disco4.com/forum/webasto-fuel-...-vf96.html

It's automatic, and warms the engine in cold temperatures to aid the diesel engine.
The offshoot bonus is that a dealer option was Timed Climate ( with or without a remote) to pre-heat the car interior (to a moderate level) prior to walking out your front door. Some had it from new, but it can be retro fitted easily (forget what a dealer will tell you..)

If you use the second link, you will find members that can enable to the CCF for you and fit the remote kit (circa. £200).

It will defrost the windows in the bad weather and is a very nice addition that is popular with D3 and D4 owners. 2011 MY D4 HSE
Previously 2001 D2 TD5, 1996 D1 300Tdi, 1985 90 2.2 petrol.
