2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Bali Blue
Old colour on a newer car

My friend is planning to get his 2010 RRS painted Bahama Gold. His car needs repairing and painting following a...err...slight mishap with a dry stone wall in Wales. He thinks he going to go for Bahama Gold because his father had a Classic in that colour in the 70’s. He asked me what I thought about a Classic colour on a newer car and tbh, I’m not too sure.
What do you reckon?

If he does do it then I’ll post some pictures.

England 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Fuji White

Classic colours can look good on newer cars if the rest of the car matches or has a contrast. I have always loved British Racing Green and I think it suits any car if the rest of vehicle suits it. By that I mean, modern cars have a lot of gloss black whereas cars of the 70s had a lot of chrome etc. Im not sure of gold on a RRS but having not seen one, I couldn't say for sure. If he wants a colour change, maybe he should pick a more up to date colour such as the Estoril Blue or one of the grey shades. It may even help a little with value over a 1970s gold!! 2012 5.0 SC AB

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

One of RRS’s rarest colours and very short lived was Maya Gold. A guy in the village I live in had one and it was extremely difficult to sell on even though it was a standard colour, nobody wanted a Gold RRS. There was one in one of the early Pierce Brosnan Bond movies 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Nara Bronze for me too Chris. I think it looks great and seems to suit the big LRs well. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I think Gold will date the car too much, but if they like it go for it, when it comes to selling they only need one other person to love it as well Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
