2007 2.7tdv6 fuel gauge problem

Hi guys hope all is well?
im having trouble with my fuel gauge as when i filled my tank up to the top the gauge only showed just over half full.

but it works as when i got down to half a tank the gauge starts working and shows the fuel being used.

so what i mean is ...the needle only shows just over half full when infact its full Confused Neutral
