United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Arctic Frost
Can’t play music from iPhone to car.

My 2009 Sport tdv8 will connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth but it won’t play the music from my phone. I have tried the usb connection under the Centre armrest and plugged that into the phone. The phone will charge but says on the car screen device not found. As for the iPod connection it’s out of dat but I do have a lead to fit it but the other end won’t fit the phone and there does not appear to be a connection to fit it. Everything but in fact. How do I get my phone to play music into car. Can use the aux socket behind centre console as no other socket on phone . Big Cry

The BT connection only works for the telephone, not the music for which you need to use the cable.

What size is the memory of your iPhone? My facelift 2010 MY RRS will load a 64GB Sandisk Cruzer Fit in the USB port, but not a 256GB iPhone by cable so that may be your problem.

Sorry I can't help you there, I know nothing about iPhones. Good luck!

I had the same problem with mine 2010 my with the original lead provided. What I have done is purchased a iPod series 4 I think ( this was the one available in 2010.) The problem is that any iPod or iPhone that was made after 2010 has a different power with the electrics and that is why your 2010 lead can't read anything. The older model also has the correct apature for your lead to fit into. You can pick these old iPods up for about £25 / £30. The other way is to buy the adaptor that are mentioned many times on here to connect your iPhone by way of bluetooth but I think they are about £100. Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
