Sat Nav Reset

Is there any to reset the Sat Nav (2013 RRS1) to an earlier version mine has corrupted during an update and now says it has a newer version than on the USB stick.

I contacted the suppliers of the stick (bought through the link on the Landrover Site) and their response is that they just do the map updates and so it's nothing to do with them.
It's a nightmare trying to get it to a dealer because of work etc

Can the IID tool do a sat nav update? 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography

Do you have a link for the ebay code? as things aren't looking good, i'm being told it may need a new unit!

Also does anyone know the part no for the sat nav unit for a 2013 Range Rover Sport? 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography

doubt you need a whole new unit ! But you cant update the satnav again with the same version.... if you tried to install the 2018 update you will need to wait till the 2019 is released.

I tried updating mine again with the same update and it said i had a higher version installed Sad , so in the end i bought the next version up and it got it working again !

I have the same problem with the HERE USB map update.

They sent me a replacement but that does not work either.

It also stops the phone integration as well as navigation, so massive pain.

I am sending mine back again for a full refund, as not willing to risk the wait until 2019 map is out.

Considering replacing module, but need to find were it is in vehicle, so can ensure a like for like replacement, or does anyone know how to reset the one that will not respond?

If it’s a 12MY onwards then the Nav is part of the IAM which is the CD player an expensive part new but you could get one from a breakers. It’s probably a IAM 2.1 level 1 or 3 depending on your vehicle model (1 being lower spec and 3 being higher). 2012 5.0 SC AB

I am having the same issues. I bought my update/USB through Rusty at Satnavupgrades.co.uk and he has told me to reload it, which I cant as the USB has apparently an older version that that which is installed. I was told to disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, which I have (overnight) and still didn't fix the issue. Does anyone know if there is another way of fixing this ? Is it possible to go in and rename the "new" file back to the old file name and then retry the update again ? This is a real pain and the current support from Rusty at SatNavUpgrades is not good.

This is just a wild idea but try plugging the stick into a computer and look at the file name. Try copying the file to another USB to preserve the original. Then try renaming the file or date and see if that will do anything. I suspect the IAM has the file loaded but it won’t function correctly and your trying to load the same file. Changing the name and or date may trick the IAM into thinking it’s a newer version. 2012 5.0 SC AB
