Car Key Fob Signal Blocking Pouch/Bag/Case

After watching London tonight last week it made me think about how easy it is to get the signal for my key so I brought
Mengshen Car Key Fob Signal Blocking Pouch/Bag/Case, Car Anti-theft Guard Protector
And am I right to say that if I put my key in this should the signal be blocked and can’t use it when I am next to it?

Just spotted your post.
I have a similar case and yes, once your key is inside it will block all signals. Even when you put the key next to the car it will not work if inside the pouch. You can buy 2 of the pouches for about £10 on Amazon which is great. I'm still disgusted that land rover don't issue these pouches when a a car is purchased, suppose they don't want to admit there is a problem lol

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

With these faraday pouches you must make sure that you put the fob into the correct section - there is a front pouch that will not block any signals and then if you squeeze the side seams with the “wallet” open the metallic lined section opens and that is where you have to put your transponder to guarantee 100% protection.
When you open it it looks like this

Squeeze it a little and often the gold metallic bit doesn’t open - like this - don’t put the fob in here as there is no protection

Squeeze it a bit more or open it with a finger to open the protective envelope and drop the fob into the section that makes a mesh lined “envelope”

Closing the black cover also closes the metal mesh envelope and provides 100% blockage to the signals
