Wheel alignment gone wrong

So I just had my RRS wheel aligned and now it seems it’s knocked the suspension out of its normal height

And the alignment actually feels worse than it was before and the ride was horrible while I was driving back to work

I thought maybe the drive home might set things right but when I had a look at the heights levels on normal height it was deffo not right and the oasssnger front gap was ridiculous

Attached is the print out of the alignment, does it even look right

I had mine done last week, £60 but I put it in tight tolerance mode myself as they wanted another £70 to do it. It feels so much better to drive. They must have messed with your suspension heights for some reason. 2012 5.0 SC AB

£70 flat fee to put it on the diagnostic computer. It was a hunter alignment but I don’t think the guy had a clue when I said about tight tolerance. I had to explain it to him. 2012 5.0 SC AB

yes ive just had a look & the toe on the tracking is still out on the everything should be in the green not red.I don't know why they haven't got that right as the toe is the easiest to adjust, especially on the computerised aligner,,if I was you id get it to someone with the Hunter aligment equipment,go on here to find your nearest but NOT kwikfit.

I can’t see the picture very clearly but it looks like they only adjusted the rear. Have you raised and lowered/lowered and raised your suspension to reset? I’m wondering if it’s gone funny after it’s been on the ramps/swivel pads. Are there any messages on the dash? It shouldn’t drive any worse so I guess it is due to the suspension height differences. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Brit Plumber,Tyrefitter

This is a quote from their site lol

“We use specialist Snap-on Pro-Align Wheel Alignment equipment that is classed far superior then all current wheel alignment equipment including Hunters Pro-Align Wheel Alignment equipment, the equipment we have is worth over £12500, so you can rest assured your car or van is in the best possible place for Wheel Alignment.“

So the equipment they have is no good and now I have to find someone with hunters FFS

I’ll try that, no messages on the dash as of yet.. I think they may have altered tyre pressures that why the comfort has changed

I have 22” alloys and I normally have it set as 33psi front and 36psi rear

Snapon is no where as near as good as Hunter,,snapon is Chinese, when I had my snapon mot bay installed the rep said all their gear is Italian & not Chinese,,the day is got installed I noticed the plate on the 4 post lift which said made in the Republic of china Shocked I then questioned the rep about this & he said,,ow yes that's right but ours is good Chinese gear.

They may also not have put it in right tolerance mode when doing the alignment.

He did mention something about my brake discs being too tight? What that has to do with wheel alignment I have no idea

I would class the hunter as superior to the snap on without doubt. I took my car to a accident repair place which I got from the link that Tyrefitter posted.

I run my 22s at 36 front and 38 rear, it’s a harsher ride than the 34 and 36 I used to run at but I hope this will help stop me trashing my tyres and alloys (previously tore a tyre and buckled 2 wheels on an abyss in the road). 2012 5.0 SC AB
