brake pad warning

Had the brake pad warning light come on but then go off, so had my rear pads changed as the front ones had been done last month, but then this morning on my way to work the warning has been flicking on and off ..... any ideas as to why it would be flicking on and off?

Or it could be the rear pads are low and the fronts are fine. They have a sensor on the front, (FNS from memory if it's the same as D3) and one on rear. They work by the disc wearing the pad down to where the sensor is, and contact with the disc breaks the circuit. Could the flickering being the intermittent contact with the disc?

Both front and back pads were changed and also new sensors so perhaps one is faulty, the warning comes up on start up flickers for a bit then disappears . Think I will run it back to the garage today , thank you for the info guys

I think you're absolutely correct, they've done the work, its not right, it's down to them to sort it out. Good luck
