Nearside Front Door Not Unlocking (but works with keyless)

Hi all, I have a MY2010 RRS and I have a problem with the nearside front door not unlocking. It's very strange however because keyless entry works on this door Confused

Here is a summary of the problem:

- Keyless entry works fine
- If I press the unlock button on the remote, all doors will be unlocked except the nearside front door
- If press the lock/unlock button on the drivers door, all interior door locks will move except the nearside front door
- I can reach over and pull the interior handle to open the nearside front door from inside the vehicle

Anyone have any ideas please?

Hi Knw,
I have the exact same issue on my 2011 - Started during the hot spell earlier on in the year.

Reading the forums Its quite common and related to the failure of the Door locking module , As ours has keyelss I think there is another circuit to release the inside lock and somehow it opens .

You need a replacement unit , Have got one but haven't had time to swap yet. I may end up leaving till it's service in a few months time .
Lots of info on the net on how to change them .

If I get time and do it I will update .

Thanks x3too.

I have come to the same conclusion. I have bought one on eBay and will be fitting it this weekend. I'll let you know if it works.

Thanks - Looking forward to the update - have 2 little time lately to do mine

BTW which one did you buy? Is there a difference between Keyless and non Keyless ? I bought one out of haste and hoping there is no difference - I also bought a bag of door clips from ebay as I know from past experience they break.

good luck

Hi x3too, so I did the job yesterday and it's now all working! Mr. Green

The actuator is a complete pig to get to and removing/refitting it involved lots of swearing!

There is a difference between keyless and non-keyless.

The part number for keyless is LR091351 = around £150 genuine LR part (no pattern part available as far as I know)
The part number for non-keyless is LR011277 = around £25 pattern part

Unfortunately, I didn't realise there was a difference and I'd already purchased the pattern part on eBay and removed the faulty one. However, with a little bit of dismantling and fine adjustments, it was possible to add the keyless part of the existing faulty actuator to the new non-keyless actuator. You have to be very careful with the springs and gears inside, paying attention to how everything fits together. It's a bit of a PITA, but it is possible (and £125 cheaper).

So, all fixed for £25 Thumbs Up

Cheers for the update.

I had a feeling I rushed and bought the wrong one , Is it much faffing about adding the Keyless part? Did you take any pics? I am fairly handy with my hands so will attempt anything - I think its only the motor that goes in the module - Myabe worth swapping the motors across to the old unit - Just thinking aloud Smile

I have found a Pattern part on Ali express thats keyless and a lot cheaper- I used the old part number and it came up .
LR013892
LR013892 SUPERCEDED TO LR091351

Cheers

No problem. It is a little bit of hassle adding it, but not too bad if you take your time. I just sat down and laid everything out in front of me and went through it logically. It took me about 30 mins I would say. It's more of a faff actually getting the part in and out of the door in the first place. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures I'm afraid. I just didn't think at the time.

Good spot concerning Aliexpress! For the sake of the extra £10, I'd get it if you can return the part you have already bought.
