Newbie Question

Hi,

Currently have the opportunity to get myself a 2011 RRS 3.0 TDV6 - Bali Blue with Ivory leather. Always wanted a RRS and in Bali Blue also.

Just wondering what MPG guys are getting with the same on long runs? I would do around 130miles per day around various sites i have. Mainly motorway/carriageway.

Idea of a jeep sounds brilliant as i currently have a 2011 520d M Sport and its great but just a too low for going onto sites.

Any help , ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers

On a long run, cruise control set around 70 then I'll get 32 ish. Sitting at 60 can see 37 mpg.

whatever mpg you get, the indicated reading on the trip computer is likely to be 20% higher than actual.

Mine is typically indicating 32mpg on a tank full, actually is more like 26 or 27 mpg real world Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

If you like the idea of a Jeep why are you looking at a RRS? 07MY RRS TDV6

As you can tell people don't like you calling an RRS a jeep Laughing

Jeeps are much more reliable.

These cars are economical at 50MPH
but not so good at 80

My SDV6 on All Terrain tyres and driven "as required" Wink gives me 25mpg.

Of course, the atrocious turbo lag / throttle response doesn't help as I often drive in Sport on the gearbox to have any kind of throttle response. Even then I often need a big hoof of throttle to get any response. It's a known issue, sadly. It really needs a remap to get rid of it. That's on the "do it soon" list... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Fuel is the least of your worries! These are not so jeep to keep on the road full stop. Oops. I mean not so cheap to maintain, insure etc. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Surprised re bluetooth issue. Works perfectly on my 2012 MY and I thought they had the same setup ? To be fair I use an android phone as I refuse to pay crApple prices. Ultimately Aux will give you the best quality if your source isn't crappy mp3 but that is less convenient as I recognise.
