temperature goes up range rover sport 2014 model

Hello friends lately I have changed the water pump on range rover supercharge sport 2014. After changing the water pump I have poured the premix solution coolent 50/50 into the radiator, after 10 minutes the engine got so much hot, I have switched the car off and drained some of the solution and then added some water then started the car and drove for 60 kilo meter of distance and the temperature now in the middle , I do not know what happened in the begging, dose anybody run into this situation before.
Thank you
ahm

Did you bleed the cooling system? If you didn't, there are probably air-locks in there preventing the coolant circulating and causing overheating. I don't know the bleeding procedure for your car, try a google search, or someone on here may be along shortly.

A common "trick" when refilling the cooling system is to also have the heater on blowing out hot air as this tends to open up any of the gates in the system. Sometimes it can eleviate the need to actually bleed a system.

Just for future reference in case this wasn't done Smile

Cheers..

Ian
