Alignment & Balancing on MY18/19 Cars

Hi Guys,

Has anyone else on the forum noticed their new cars have had balancing or alignment issues direct from the factory?

I've noticed it on my car, a friends car and the loan car that I'm now in.

Did anyone else with a newly delivered car have a wonky steering wheel, dodgy alignment and/or incorrectly balanced wheels?

Bit annoying that this stuff is still going on, on top of the other stuff, this is supposed to be basic!

Ta

My First SVR had steering wheel slightly right but balancing was spot on

18MY SVR steering wheel perfect but balancing was off. Slight quiver 75-85mph - now sorted though

As you say elementary stuff and JLR should deliver way better than they do considering what they charge for these vehicles 2012 Evoque
2014 Sport Autobiography
2015 SVR for the fun stuff
2016 Evoque SI4 Dynamic Lux for the daily drive
2016 Defender 90
2018 SVR

MY17 SVR steering wheel is slightly left tracking and balancing was out which fixed it slightly but not completely. Apart from steering wheel alignment car drives straight with no vibration.

It’s frustrating but what can you do keep ordering cars until you get a perfect one isn’t possible.

Hm. Interesting.

I just replaced all 4 tires and I was told that all 4 had warn down in a similar fashion due to bad alignment. Basically there was noticibly less tread on the right hand side of all 4 tires... SVR with a few bits from Urban and Glohh
