Shame they left the windows open...

Nicely in extended mode. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They do it because they have a “button” marked SAND. Then they find out the reality!

Now there's a video of the "recovery vehicles" getting stuck. They look neither specialist nor well prepared!

Judging by the front of it, it looks like the RRS was recovered using brute force and ignorance.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Atacama Sand

Was at Felixstowe yesterday and came across this.

Andy is correct, the recovery guys didn’t have a clue. The sand is very soft and they were always going to get stuck

As for the RRS driver, well I think the orange handles etc gives it away. Probably belongs to the “I have a RRS and it can go anywhere” brigade. All I can report from seeing it is that they do float though! The tide brought it in about 10 yards from where it was when we first saw it.

Many years ago (early 1970s) I was on holiday and saw a digger get stuck in the beach with the tide coming in. It was installing breakwaters and so getting stuck probably wasn't a first. The driver stuffed every inlet/outlet with loads of rags; at low tide he took them out again, started-up the digger and carried on with the work.

I wondered if they left it in 'P' when they dragged it out?

Actually, if someone got a line onto it, could they claim salvage? Rolling with laughter
