What an unfortunate turn of events, not sure now the RRS got on the beach, as I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a vehicle on the beach there before.

What are the odds that there was originally a trailer on the back - that, and soft sand, would have made it almost inevitable.

About fifteen years ago, I got a Discovery stuck on a shingle beach towing a boat. When the wheels dug themselves in they did so almost instantly. Two recovery trucks got stuck and it took a pick-up with extra wide wheels and an elastic rope to get it out. D4 and RRS have had no problems.

Not sure how they'll get that RRS out. I'm surprised the insurers are interested.

It is of absolutely no relevance that it was a woman driver.
