Brake Pad Worn - Can I re-use the old sensor?

Hi Guys

MY14 RRS AUTOBIOGRAPHY

I'm about to change the pads for my vehicle and was wondering do I need to change the sensors or can I reuse the existing ones?

Thank you

If it isn't worn and doesn't break when you take it out (they usually do), no reason why not.

If the "low brake pad" light has come on, then no. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

^ As wilf says,,best thing is to spray with wd40 & leave to soak for half hour that sometimes work.

I won’t use mintex anymore as they aren’t mintex but Chinese Censored boxed up as mintex,,a Chinese company bought mintex for the name.

Good to know but I have already fitted the rears, Initial thought they look no different than any other pads, wear wise time will tell.

Land Rover quote me nearly £500 for pads and sensors front and back which I wasn't prepared to pay.

Why not use Advance Factors they are site sponsors, give discount and offer an excellent service.

I would use them if they did the EBC low dust pads,,the original LR ones I have on at the minute are terrible for dust,I’ve only to drive a few miles after I’ve washed/cleaned the wheels & they are covered in dust again.

I keep spare sensors just incase I need to do anything on the brakes. they get really brittle.
