SVR 2017

I have been thinking about getting an SVR so decided to have look some dealer used approved in the Hampshire area. I can not believe the condition of these year old vehicles presented for sale. I'm looking for a low mileage, undamaged paint work and wheels. I have seen none that fit the bill yet, all I have found have scratched paint work, kerbed wheels, damaged rear door window seals, more than one example is this a common problem?. The interiors have scratched carbon trim and look like they have not been valeted for 6 months. Unfortunately as these cars don't seem to sell fast and they are used and abused by the dealers managers every weekend for fun. I'm shore that if I decided to purchase one of these cars all would be repaired and valeted to the required standard unfortunately for me this isn't acceptable as it indicates how these cars have been treated. Anyway the search continues Crying or Very sad Shocked

I agree Tony the main dealer cars seem to have been uncared for and not prepped well at all.

Try these guys if you want a nice example and great service. www.top555.co.uk

Andy, good selection there. Thumbs Up SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Marshall Newbury have a large selection of nice SVR’s currently. I was quite keen on their 8k miles Black car until the misses noticed the stretch in the paintwork due a crease repair in the nearside rear door. Shame. But agree that they will be the dealership weekend take home car of choice Big Cry Gone:

SVRs are short ownership cars. Talking to some dealers, 6 months to a year at max. They get abused for the short time they are owned and then are returned as they are not a particularly good "everyday" car. Its not an excuse for a poorly present car at a dealership, but just a viewpoint 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

No I havent, just relaying what two separate dealers said, one LR dealer and one specialist car dealer, when I was looking at Sports 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

Love mine, used every day, including just taking it to the south of France. Dealer remarks just make me laugh, taken with a pinch of salt.

I bet if said dealer had the car on his forecourt he wouldn’t be saying ( ow don’t buy that it’s been thrashed & abused).

I know two people who use SVRs as daily drivers and one has owned his for nearly three years, the other only 6 months so time will tell on that one.

I personally can't get on with the RRS SVR, have tried on two different occasions now and its not personally for me.

But as I said above some people love it - so it really does come down to personal preference!!

If they made an SVA RRS I'd be there in an instant!

When I was looking for my RRS none of the cars I went to see had been prepared at all. The one at a Williams dealership even took a big lurch to the left on braking during a test drive, "its been stood for a few days, probably just needs the discs cleaning". Yeah right. It wasn't as if it was in generally good condition with kerbed wheels and bramble rash down the nearside and was filthy inside, probably mums taxi. I walked away from that one.
In one respect, it could indicate that they aren't covering anything up, or that they expect the mug punter to accept any old dross.

I didn't buy mine as an everyday car but my SVR is just as usable as my previous 5.0L Supercharged.
