Something fishy?

Auto trader values the car at £11,330 private and £12-14k dealer

This trader has it up for £9k

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Ummmm try putting the reg through DVLA to see if it is a rebuild after an accident? The other thing to try to check is if it is a factory HST or a car kitted out with the body kit aftermarket/ at a dealership. Factory HST’s are not exactly 10 a 1p and S/C HST’s even rarer. Pity they stuck those crappy Overfinch wheels on it as the car came with nice 20” 10 spoke alloys that are still available so if you are going to look check that they are genuine Overfinch wheels and are strong enough for the car’s weight. Also if you are going to look make sure that in addition to all the other checks that you operate the Hi-Low transfer box, even if you never intend to go off road it should, work smoothly and quietly with just a quiet whirring as it shifts between High and Low ratios, open the driverside window and you will hear it. It isn’t the end of things if it is noise or takes an age but it is a good negotiating point as it shows the car hasn’t been maintained to LR’s requirements............ transfer box should be engaged monthly and should be almost silent in operation...... this car will also have the rear eDiff as it is an S/C, try to find out what was done at the Services - compressor, gearbox fluid, e-diff fluid etc etc. it could be that they consider a service to be just an engine oil, filter and spark plug change......... There is a lot more than that to service.
Try to find out if it is an early 2007 or a later one as there was a spec change- later cars have electric steering column adjustment tied into the Seat memories that earlier cars don’t have also the earlier cars have a cradle for a mobile phone under the Centre cubby lid which will, require a B/T module software upgrade to work with modern phones with hands free - it has the old hands free system at least as it has steeringbwheel controls. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Really really important on these hot days - check the chilled Centre cubby box is still working! There is an on/off switch on the front edge of the cubby box surround when you open the lid. I also added some more take note bits to the above post. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
