United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
5th Year MOT Passed. BUT

Has my 5th MOT last week at a local MOT station, passed with flying colours, no comments on the paperwork.
Took it to a very good indie Landrover specialist A1 Landrover in Bury, for its 5 year service, got a call later saying front brake pads are getting down to the point where they need replacing, I said no problem, replace them. He then asked when’s the MOT due, because there’s a serious problem with the Upper Rear Suspension Arms & Hub Bushes, and they need to be replaced, I told him it was MOT last week, they said, they wouldn’t have passed it, because of this issue. So it’s going to cost about £800.00.

I have Landrover Extended Warranty, anyone got any thoughts, will this be covered ??
Do I book it into the Main Dealer for them to check over,
This car has on done 28k miles,

LR's warranty doesn't usually cover suspension bushes, sadly. It might be worth getting another garage's opinion on the bushes. Is the indy you took it to your regular garage? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

1st 3 years main dealer, last year and this took to A1 everyone raves how good and honest they are. If the Bushes aren’t covered, what about the arms. MY 13 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition

I took mine

to an indy after the main dealer said no issues. After the bushes were replaced front and back plus a few other things I complained to the dealer stating they had missed even though the head tech said it was noisy. I got £300 to cover the bushes. I also had the lower wish bone arms done under warranty due to steering wheel vibration that with the help of Peachy I was able to find a looked issue within Topic that covered it.

So basically if you don't ask you don't get so start asking it aint gonna cost you anything but the time of the dealer

The Indy, did say, book it in with the dealer and tell them the backend feels loose at motorway speed and they should pick up the issue, and hopefully the Warranty may get done.
He did worry me, by saying “you aren’t planning going abroad or towing a caravan are you “
I will try and book it in next week

Managed to get it booked in with the Main Dealer in Bury. £156.00 for them to check it over and report back, I am now more confused than before.
They sent me a video, stating all tyres are down to just below 5mm 1 tyre is slightly bald on one edge.
The Disks are all worn and need replacing with pads as well, (front pads just replaced 3 weeks ago)
And my Front Dynamic Responce Bar has started to leak
No mention of the Upper Rear Suspension Arms, which is what the Indy said was a problem.
They said they would try and see if My Extended Warranty will cover the Dynamic Bar, which they will cover.
They quoted me for disk and pads all round, 1 tyre, balance all wheels £1300.00

I then took it back to the Indy and explained the above, he inspected all disc and pads, and said it would be criminal to replace the disk as there is about 70% wear left on all disc and all pads are more or less brand new.

So it’s going in to have the Bar replaced, a new tyre and all wheels balanced.
But don’t know what to do about. The Rear Suspension Arm, do I just do it or leave them . MY 13 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition
