Has my RRS got air con?

sorry to ask what appears to be a simple question

but will my 2005 rrs 2.7 tdi se have air con?

i can't see the usual ice button anywhere

so it either doesnt have it, or it needs a regas as its not cold!

If it has it will have "auto" in the centre of the 3 dials and to switch it off on the bottom right hand side underneath the right hand dial it will say ECO. I'd post a photo but I'm on the iPad, somebody may be along shortly.

Turn both temperature dials to lo, press auto. The fans should go flat out and after a while it should blow cold. If it's not cold in a couple of mins, something is wrong

If the system is working and doesn’t need re-gassing or overhauling then it is best to set it to auto and set both sides to 20 or 21 - this isn’t a temperature by the way according to Land Rover it is purely a numerical setting.......... - and then just adjust the setting up or down as you feel you need more warm or cooling. FYI the two sides/ controllers cannot be linked in L320 RRS so you cannot turn one controller and both side adjust at the same setting like VW/Audi and BMW systems . Running the system all the time has two advantages -it dehumidifies the interior and keeps the system pressurized and lubricated - it is thermostatic and will cut in and out as necessary to maintain the set temperature. You cannot adjust the humidity control. Running the system all the time has next to no effect on fuel consumption even with the 2.7 V6 motor. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
