AC condenser replacement

Got a leak at the bottom of the ac rad where a stone has hit it due to the tow eye cover missing..
Anyway, Ive had a quick look and its possible I can swap one myself. Has anyone done this job or has any tips? It looks sandwiched between other rads..

Don’t quote me but aren’t you supposed to be licensed to work on AC because of the environmental risks? Or is it just the filling/vacuuming side of it? 2012 5.0 SC AB

You can work on them but you are supposed to get the gas recovered by a specialist but as its already escaped you can do it and it involves a bit of dismantling of the front end ie bumper headlights crash bar and top part of slam panel book sys 4-6 hours but if the bumper bolts are Censored taking them out is a pita Thumbs Up

Do all the rads have to come out or can the condenser be taken out on its own.?

If you can separate them then all the better im sure it says you can but i found it easier to take the 3 out as it was tight Thumbs Up

I should have 2 quotes from land rover specialists near me in the next day or so. The car wont be needed all next week so i could fanny around with it myself.
Wait and see what the quotes are..

I would like to think the front chargecooler rad is seperate.

Personally I would go for an aftermarket condenser.

These things corrode whether geuione or not.

They are all separate and you can undo them it’s quite tight in there with the 3 of them I also used an aftermarket one which was just over £140 inclusive of vat Thumbs Up

I would have thought £300-400 would be about right.
If anyone can confirm that it is possible to get the condenser out without removing the other rads then im gonna do it later today. If all the others need to come out too then im not sure if i can be bothered with all the hassle.

Apart from the fact there are 3 rads on the supercharged which does make it harder than the disco 3 as i can testify as i have done both of them now Rolling with laughter
