Ive had to back out. There is no way the condenser will come out without taking the other rads out or at least the front one.
Kids are on my back too so ive lost patience.
Off to a garage I think..
And there are 4 rads on mine. One is on the lower off side as well as 3 in the middle.

I got so far in but gave up. A bit disappointed but i dont have time now.
Only one bottom bumper bolt survived. The rest had to be drilled and tapped. The front cross panel bolts were ok although very tight.
The biggest problem was the coolant bottle. Due to the lpg auto lube ecu in the way it was really difficult to move and unhook from behind the cross panel.
Like i said, the condenser will not come out without the other rads as all the pipework interferes.
If i can get it done for £500 or less all in then thats ok.

Got the car back today after having the condenser replaced. Total was £420.
Why doesn't the L320 have an electric fan as well as the the aircraft propeller behind the rad?

And another thing..I noticed on the invoice they have put in 900g of refrigerant. Now, the slam panel says 600g for front AC and 900g for rear AC. Mine has vents in the back but it's not adjusted back there so have they put in too much?
I didn't realise some L320 had adjustable climate in the rear.

They don't have electric fans as these cars are designed to be used as slow speed in muddy fields.

So the engine fan always pulls a bit of air thru.
The cleaver thing is that the ecu can command higher fan speeds.
I'm sure that fan is very powerful when it gets going!

Yeah they have put too much in. The high spec discoverys have the higher amount with a separate fan system at the rear of the car. (and air con pipes running to the rear!)

The plot thickens.. I took it back and he said it should have 900g in. So I called a Land Rover dealer and they said 900g too. I still think it should be 600g.
Who is right? Mine has no ac controls in the rear just two vents like my X5.
The slam panel sticker has two options 600g with arrows coming from front vents or 900g with arrows coming from front and rear vents.
I have never heard of or seen a RRSS with rear climate controls. Do they exist?

Just knoticed this thread.
Sorry the Moog, I could have shared a bit of info on replacing the condenser.
Did it on my old sc.
When you do get it stripped down, it does appear to be impossible to remove. you just need to loosen a couple of other auxiliaries and you can slide it out with a bit of a wobble.
