MY19 - September?

Are they starting MY19 in September with all the new emissions changes?

If so, what other changes does anyone know they will be adding at time, or none?

Also someone said they're not going to do the all new model until 2022, is there any truth in that?

^^^

I would be very surprised if there were anything more than minor/cosmetic changes to the MY19 variant as the mid-life facelift occurred for MY18.

Based on previous cycles it looks likely RRS3 will be available late 2021.

I mentioned on another thread that someone who knows a commercial manager at JLR suggested longer life cycles in future but that is unlikely to kick in this soon if at all.

No changes proposed for MY19 AFAIAW it's just the more stringent emissions test....some colours are being lost too apparently no more carpithian grey although they will probably add something like Waitomo again! I wouldn't be surprised to see a price rise too or higher prices for options.

Following this with interest, I’m looking to order for delivery around December so the question is when will I need to order and when is there likely to be a price rise?

Is the MY19 as I've heard launching with the emissions change over in September?

And you're saying there are no other changes, even minor, at all? Just dropping the one colour I've selected for my car lol?

Presumably they will have had to make changes to the SDV8 engine I'm ordering for the new emissions tests?

What would you lot do, my build is slotted for July but I can get them to hold it back a bit?

Not sure now.

I have heard from a very reliable source (check my post history lol!) that there will be no major changes. There is a good chance that the 3.0 petrol will be dropped too.

I know the Velar will also lose the P380 engine. The 3.0d 306BHP block may be replaced with a 275BHP v6 Diesel too..no news on the TDv8.

Some new colours (probably re-introducing ones like Farallon Black and Waitomo and doing away with Carpathian Grey).

Any LRs built or built before July have to be registered before 31st August for emission compliance reasons.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I wonder why they don’t seem to be using the straight 6 ingenium engine that’s available in the D5 as the TD6? Personally I think they should retain the 3.0S/C and mate it with the electric motor in the PHEV instead of giving it the under powered 2.0ltr turbo petrol, RRS is too heavy even without 150kgs extra weight of batteries for the 2.0 4 pot motor. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I really hope they don’t change the SDV8 or any spec amendments tbh, after my rejection of my first leading to the opportunity to upgrade to the SDV8 my heart is now set and I can’t take the disappointment... likewise any spec changes unless positive could be a right Censored .

Tim, complete agree with your suggestion to upgrade the phev, a 2L just isn’t enough for a car of this size that’s what put me off. Would of worked for many of my journeys but the idea of having less power when the batteries ran out worries me.

I don't think the 6 cylinder Ingenium is available yet. New Discovery still uses V6 diesel and is called TD6 because it now only has one turbo. I drove one the other day and thought it went better than the SDV6. I reckon they have used the TD6 badge so they don't have to change it when the Ingenium arrives. SDV8 arrived and fantastic even the infotainment!

Many big trips done in this one.

Velar changes announced today - nothing groundbreaking...the 275BHP diesel I mentioned yesterday is official...The Velar updated configurator is live and there is no longer Carpithian Grey available...lets see if this gets carried over to the RRS Smile

Well predicted! I am still getting the old configurator. Wonder why they are dropping carpithian is a popular choice.

Are the new engines in addition to or a replacement for? Hopeing addition as seams odd to drop the figures?

I have no idea why they would want a 275BHP diesel when they have a 306BHP one! Something gotta give? Could be something to do with emissions but they may well drop the bigger engine...time will tell..

All I can think is company car tax? Or maybe it’s the VED band, if it’s multiple lower could be a few £1,000 saving!

Just hope my SDV8 gets slotted without any changes!! Oh and hope the new naming convention doesn’t move to RRS just yet.

Could you screen shot the specs of the new engines vs the old comparatives? I still can’t get the new configurator...
