Carpathian Grey available on SVR?

I ventured into the local JLR dealership today after spending some time at the local Audi dealership (A3 for her indoors and daughter) and for the first time I saw a Carpathian Grey RRS in the flesh - absolutely gorgeous.

I know a lot of people like that colour and I can now see why.

I'm sure the lighting etc. helped but it caught our eyes from a distance and up close really is stunning.

Hence my question; I think the answer I sadly already know but is this by any chance available on the new SVR?

If you pay extra any colour is available on an SVR, there is a bespoke paint service available if the standard shades don’t suit you. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It isn’t shown on the configurator as a standard color any more but there are some other very dark greys and light blacks that you might also like and they are at prices between £3000 and £6759 extra........... I think a bespoke color is even more - Sally is the person to ask! Also going for a bespoke color may set back your build date as IIRC the car has to go over to the SVO unit for bespoke colours - so you get a personalized SVR 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Cheers for the additional info, may have to PM Sally. I know on the AB the Carpathian Grey comes in at around £1700 so I am guessing be around the same for the SVR?

And yes, I see there are some other great looking colours too but (until I see another great tone in the flesh) for the moment this one has got me!

Current lead time is 19 weeks for an SVR and 32 weeks for an AutoBiography so hopefully it doesn't add too much of a delay Rolling Eyes

If the color isn’t on the configurator then it isn’t a “standard” color and will then be a bespoke color - Carpathian isn’t shown as an standard option on the SVR so LR with empty your wallet out if you want it as an SVO option 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Nice to hear that I wasn't the only person that was given this story! It's ridiculous that JLR are refusing to take £3,500 for a premium colour!

Yep, no doubt you are right on that point. I will have to look into it a bit more and see what the options are.

Cheers for that, does special colour in this context mean a bespoke one or one of the optional pricier ones available via the configurator for the AB?

I've become smitten with Carpathian Grey now, maybe when I wake up in the morning it might be a different situation but I've seen it now so hard to unsee it Rolling Eyes

SVO colours i think as they go to a different paint shop, was also told a lot of vehicles are having delivery dates held back as the new emission tests are different for all vehicles registered after September the 1st, any delivered in august would have to be registered before September on the 18 plate, for this reason they will be held back as a customer may want to wait a couple of weeks and have the 68 plate but would not be able to. MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White

It's never straight forward with JLR is it? Every bl**dy thing ends up in delays or issues or some drama Sad

Cheers, will check that out. Biggest problem with these options is unless you see them in the flesh it's not that easy to gauge what they'll look like in real life.

EDIT: I think the Good Lord must be smiling on me Smile

I was looking to get an SVR (as many of you on here no doubt know with my constant boring posts asking questions) but IF it isn't available in that hue then a well-specced AB would do me for now.

Lead time on these is 32 weeks (!!!) however what has just popped up as available in TWO weeks? That's right, only an AB in Carpathian Grey with the spec I want (minus a 'fridge) but that omission is offset by some other great options that I'd happily take if it meant not waiting until next year Smile

Hoping to go see the dealership midweek. Exciting times!
