Range Rover Sport EGR valves removed engine warning light

Hi

I bought the sport with EGR valves removed and blanking plates fitted
I have a problem the engine light stays on and when reading the code P140A comes up.

Any suggestions appreciated as to solutions

Thanks

While I do not think it is possible you got a 3.0 TDV6 made in 2007 - mind you, it's a 2.7 - it seems you need to map the EGR function out of the ECU. Regards etc.,

Hi
I believe that the 2.7 tdv6 euro 3 engine from 2005 to start of 2007 could have there EGRs blacked with out putting an engine management light on but will generate fault codes ,but after the start of 2007 the euro 4 engine will put an engine management light on and definitely need mapping out to get the light off.

So yeah you can either get it mapped out or buy some new egrs and put them back in ! 2017-Discovery 5 TDV6 HSE

Thanks for that
Had another look Looks like two blanking plates on EGR and also at the Air intake.
Pretty sure there is pipework missing to connect both together
Got another fault code coming up P1335-21 egr position sensor minimum stop performance

thanks for your help much appreciated

The information I have from Rimmer Bro (who sell the blank kit) is that 2.7 without the DPF can be blocked off without any problem.

Hi,

might be worth checking if the butterfly flap is still inside the intake track as well Question

when they have been blanked it could have been removed as it then removes the restriction in the air flow
(although many can not be bothered to do it Laughing )

istr the cost of the Map is about the same as 1 EGR,

personally I think the EGR's are service items and should be replaced when they fail,
the 2008 I had needed an o/s one, I got it from Maltings
