Overfinch vs JE Engineering

Re the oval exhaust for a TDV6 supply only.

Overfinch charge £445+ Vat

JE Engineering £577.45 + Vat (after RRsport forum member discount)

Is the JE system any better in your opinions?

Ok found it - in fact it was Quicksilver

The topic was discussed here http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic1296.h...;start=330

In fact read the article as it discusses all exhausts in detail.

Here is a pic of their "aston" tips = bigger than my JE ones.....

Mazza, any chance of a group buy?

Be carefull with the overfinch - although I prefer there "supercharged" look tips myself!

I ordered a set of clear side repeaters - they did not fit - I asked for another set that would fit...

They told me that the DOOR had to be modified to fit the side repeaters!!!

Make sure this is not the case with the zorsts too!

Quicksilver quote £596+ vat

I'm a bit worried though that the car will sound like a louder diesel than it already is, anyone heard these or the overfinch/JE systems fitted to a 2.7TDV6?
Question

good point, I'll check if I go ahead. How many people would be prepared to buy if we got some type of discount?

You won't be disappointed with the V8 burble sound from the JE exhaust on your TDV6. Mine has fooled at least one V8 petrol LR fanatic.
Also they vent underneath which prevents the back getting covered in black crap. A worthy consideration when comparing with the others Wink
As I think all the others vent out of the pipes like a normal exhaust = soot covered back. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Mazza - I thought i'd post all the options for you = But , personally having gone through the same process myself ............ you wont be dissapointed with the JE set up = PERFECT.

Also Paulb has had them fitted to his TDV6 = I've heard his system and we both agree [ as Josh says ] very V8 like ...... Got to be a winner Cool

Ps as Josh also mentioned - they vent the gases downwards - not straight out the back...... although they retain the look of a normal petrol exhaust = nice

good point re the venting I will check!

Has anyone heard a TDV6 with an Overfinch or a Quicksilver, do you get the same sound as the JE Engineering?

have the guys who have a V8 burble from the JE system made any other upgrades to create a different sound...as I find it surprissing that simply by changing the end of the pipes the sound changes?
