Battery light

Hi I keep getting the battery light coming on and off, driving at 30 mph it comes on but if you go over 50 - 60 mph it goes off also I am getting suspenshion fault on display and low battery on radio dash if turned up full. I put a multi meter on the battery and shows 12.3 v with engine off and 13.2 v with engine on tick over. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers Craig

Possibly alternator on its way out Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

sounds like your alternator is furbed should be pushing out a bit more than that look at the belts to they mat be loose turn on everything lights heated seats air-con and see what voltage you have with engine running Thumbs Up

try one of these :-

I was worried about my alternator when I bought the car so got one myself. It usually shows around 15v when engine running, I thought this was a little high but a couple of the experts on here assured me it was perfectly normal.

May help you diagnose the problem.

I'de put it down to alternator also. I had exact same issues as mention plus i could hear a groaning coming from that area where the alternator is, wasn't sure if it was a tensioner or not. I had my alternator rebuilt using upgraded internals parts, cost £210 for the entire job including removal and refitting been perfect since.

Hi All

Had the alternator replaced and battery light now goes out as should do.

But and big but I now have a suspension fault issue Code reads C1A0054 and if you go over 60mph it comes up Max speed 30mph and the red suspension light is on the dash.

Can anybody please help
Cheers

I would start a new topic with a specific heading for this new problem that you have now got. You will probably get more replies with people who have had this problem. Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
