Changed stat today done exactly what said
In book to vent got air free bubbles tightened
Vent screws expansion cap on started up
within seconds hundreds of bubbles (air)
So before I take it up to 3000 r p m
Is this right does air come through
Expansion tank cap when screwed on
With bleed nipple shut or do I have to vent it with cap off
And bleed screw open or do I drain down and start all over again

Don't know where you mean this air is.

I always run a car for at least 5 mins with the cap off to let it sort itself out.
Also Give it a little rev to pump the water round

I think you need to use the black vent plug. The cap doesn't vent, I believe. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
