Just

glad your not my neighbour Sad

Houses these days are built so close to each other that this is bound to happen at some stage plus a lot of houses usually have more than 1 car but its just a fact of life. I have neighbours who continually scream and swear at their kids, I don't use the back garden much which is a PITA but all I do is just close the doors or grin an bear it. The fact you have come on here asking for advice before even given your neighbour time to think about your poor plight speaks volumes.

Sorry might not be what you want to hear but I actually think Your being the unreasonable party in this instance

Neither does your neighbour's van... Rolling Eyes 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

A van probably hasn't, but declaring a dispute with a neighbour to a potential buyer might...

House 2 doors down from me has a yellow Merc van. For some reason he parks it on the opposite side of the road, completely on the pavement. Don`t know why he doesn`t park on his side of the road but, things happen. I have a 60ft long drive (but narrow) for one car but some people have a much shorter one....people have to park somewhere I suppose!

Also, you`d have to live next door to at least a crack den to have your house devalued by £20k Laughing Thumbs Up Steve.

Hence why I live in the middle of nowhere, with no neighbours for at least 1/2 mile though one of the local farmers isn't too bothered about looking after his sheep and they're forever coming into the garden and crapping everywhere Big Cry

If you are stressed out by just looking at a neighbours van you are going to be incandescent once you start legal proceedings with each other. You are setting up a world of pain that you won’t be able to stop. You will end up more stressed out just at the very sight of him...after all he is not going to be too happy being served any kind of legal notice...

I would think long and hard before you light the touch paper...
