Bluetooth dropping out

Does anyone else have problems with Bluetooth connecting and the dropping out?

I have an iphone and it connects to the car when I get in all on its own which is great. Then when I try to play music etc it plays for 15-20 seconds then stops then it’s like the system disconnects the phone then reconnects again. We do this for several times before eventually it stays connected and plays.

Tried with cable also and have the same problem.

It’s driving me mental

Is it an iPhone 8? I have had problems with 8 in my RRS, D4 and trouble and strife’s Freelander. iPhone 7 and 6 work fine. SDV8 arrived and fantastic even the infotainment!

Today I have the iPhone X but last week and since I got the car in September it has been a iPhone 7 Plus.

iPhone 7 works fine in my cars. iPhone 8 seems to have a problem especially when I use Siri. If I use car controls for phone no prob. SDV8 arrived and fantastic even the infotainment!

Yes that’s what happens to me.

Was it just a software update then that fixed it for you.

So far I have had no dropped calls since the update, the service guy seemed to know that this would fix it before the update was applied, so they probably know it's an issue. Rolling Eyes

Been to the stealer this morning for some adblue and asked about a software update for my vehicle and they said they couldnt tell me there was an update available for mine with out me booking the car in and they would need 4-6 hours to then be able to check.

The service guy then went on to tell me it was the fault of apple updating there software and thats why it wouldnt work
