RRS shouldnt be used off road. There, the flood gates are now open.

(used to ride expert MX and trials (motorcycles), and had lots of Landies - did quite a bit of off roading. Just could never get my head around doing it in a sport though.

Shocked

A LAND ROVER is beige, about 30 years old, has leaf springs, does 8MPG, and can be fixed with a crow bar.

A RR is much too nice to do proper off roading. Get real guys, OK so if you can afford to straighten it (I cant) after a PROPER off road 'ding' then go for it. But dont kid yourself that thing can do the real knarly stuff.

I suppose its like when I go MX practicing and see a dude pottering around on some Beemer GS dakar job. That can do (very) light off road duties - but pitch it in the real rough stuff against a CRF 450 and its game over.....

KEEP THEM RR'S ON THE ROAD! Mr. Green

Just checked, yep says Landrover on it !!

Well you obviously have never been off-road in a Sport,, Because belive me, they can do the same, if not more the any other LR product, and if any good, no reason the "ding" it anyway 997 TT, RR TDV8 Vog SE 90 V8 Hybrid

ok ok, sorry about my post. I'll keep my feelings to myself if it gets everyone that defensive(!) And ur right about not stacking it if your any good. As an expert MX AND trials rider, i must have imagined the broken foot, toes, dislocated knee, ACL damage, broken ribs, chipped sternum and collar bones - along with the mangled bikes ive had to pay to straighten! 4x4 off roading must be different... (despite the MANY MANY events ive been to where ive seen MANY MANY 'offs' and resultant smashed in motors!) If you feel going through some mud in a field is proper off roading them I apologise - we're talking about different things

Shocked [/i]

I feel your post was clearly intended to initiate a response - I never saw 'in my opinion' anywhere - in fact it was a statement! Wink

I do believe you already know the RRS is a capable offroad 4x4 however 'believe' it should be kept on the road like the vast majority are

personally I'm not going to go and throw my RRS around to break it (dents etc) however some do come close to this (namely VA) - for any more serious stuff then you really need a less expensive tool - this I can agree
