Help with 19" wheels for 2006 RRS HSE - Thanks

Hi

First post having been lurking for a few days following our purchase of a 2006 HSE.

Loads of useful information already absorbed - my thanks to all those who've posted.

Looking to move to 19" wheels and want to know which designs were factory standard or factory options for our 2006 HSE:

Design 1: I know these are factory fit standard - Borrowed from the internet:

Design 2: These I think are from a later production year - Again borrowed from the internet:

Design 3: And I think these were an option on 2006MY HSEs - Found on this forum and thanks to the OP for the picture as I didn't know these might be an option:

Am aware that all three designs are the same dimensions - just want to know which will keep the insurers "happy" as factory standard/factory option for our 2006MY car.

Have a heavily track modified (scabby and used) 2001 Boxster as my daily driver which is OK to insure when you step outside the usual suspects - so understand what's possible in insurance terms but I'm keen to avoid that if we can for the HSE hence my question.

Thanks in advance - map_rrs

Thanks both.

Stevepd - thank you - had seen the thread with the brochure pages but hadn't been able to back track it - appreciate you posting up the link.

Looks like I need to be getting hold of Design 1 from my post above.

Then it's just a case of settling on tyres for it - is that as likely to be as a fraught a question as "N rated" tyres are with Porsche forums...?

Hi and welcome,

I thought that no.3 were the SE standard wheels around 2006 Question Confused

rather than trying to find the Exact wheels it came out of the factory with why not ask your insurer if
"genuine Landrover wheels"
will be ok ? I have had a number of different styles on our cars and each time I checked with the insurance as long as they are Genuine L/R items all was good

No worry about tyres like Porsche, but have a look at the Load rating if you go 111 rated and want to sell them again it opens up D3 options as well
Just a thought

edit. this was our 2005HSE

No 3 were SE wheels on Facelift cars or option for LR recommendation winter tyres on cars that came with 20” rims. As seen on Muddywheels pic of the Black Facelift Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Appreciate all the feedback and links - very helpful - Thumbs Up

Turns out the wheel type that came with our RRS is readily available so will go with those when a decent value set turn up.

Run summers and winters (+ track wheels/tyres) on my daily driver and will probably do the same with this one. If so might go for a second alternative design "Genuine Land Rover" wheels for the other tyres following the advice about choice of words - thanks.

Quick update - managed to source a set of these via eBay:

The wheels came with Pirelli Winters all round that had plenty of tread left so very pleased. Will be searching this part of the forum for advice around summer tyres that will go on the car in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the help.
