Where do I find the complete specs to Terrain Response?

I'm trying to find the complete specs to the Terrain Response modes.

For instance, I've figured out that "snow" makes the car start in second gear and stuff like that, but I want DETAILS, like, for each mode, what happens with:
Gear shift points?
Diff locks?
Traction control?
Change of power distribution (front/back)?

Where can I find this? I've searched all over the net, even registered on Topix (where you can find everything BUT what I'm looking for...). Help, please? Anyone?

I was so desperate I even asked on Land Rover's facebook page and actually got at least half of an answer, but again, not details...

Nope. Most manufacturers used to buy each others cars to pick them apart to find out all the secrets. Nowadays, some manufacturers actually trade cars with their competitors, to save money and all the hassle.

Yes. It says: use setting "snow" for snow and you'll be fine. Basically. No help.

So they do publish it then? Surprised you can't find it if that's the case. Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

I'm surprised too.
The reason I know for a fact that manufacturers buy and dismantle competitor cars is because my brother in law works as an engineer at Volvo.

Actually, I found a book that discusses the how's-and-why's here:
http://www.greenovalexperience.com/

I have no idea how they got the information, though.

In addition to the information I put up on the other forum this document makes an interesting read.

2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It wasn't a URL - was a doc on my PC.

Anyway I was able to upload into my gallery using the img function - then editing out the img commands and using that link direct, it comes up. 07MY RRS TDV6

If you want to show an image in the forum you use the IMG tag, if you want to link to something that isn't an image e.g. a pdf, use the URL tag. The document is on your PC until you upload it to the forum then it's a URL on the server. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
