Australia 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Here's a Red one I will be picking up in a couple of days. I originally thought black/alpaca but the right spec wasn't available until next year. I hunted around and found this one with all the extras I wanted. I liked the red when I first saw it on this BB but I haven't seen it in real life yet. The dealer sent these pics.

Bigger pics in my gallery and I'll add some more when I pick it up. TDV6 Rimini Red/Alpaca, Sunroof, Adaptive, Phone, Nav, PDC, Mem.

PeterW: Very nice looking RRS. Hope to see more pics once you take delivery.

Land Rover dealership called me to take a look at a Buckingham Blue RRS 4.4 because it will be delivered to a customer from their show room tomorrow.

It is very nice, and I think this will be the color for me. Funny thing though, the sales guy kept on trying to tell me to take the 4.4 instead of 4.2 SC. He said that the 4.2 SC has a harsher ride and noisier resonance during acceleration.

Anyone agree or disagree with him? I always thought these guys will always to try to sell the more expensive model. Who knows, maybe they have too many 4.4 coming here.

I am still more inclined to buy the 4.2SC though. However, rumours about the maybe upcoming V8 Diesel might postpone my decision....

Hi redtarga, it depends on the way and how you like to drive. But all i can say is put the Supercharged into sport mode on the gear/selection and prepare for BLAST-OFF ............................. Shocked Shocked

Thats what you get in the SC Wink

redtarga, don't listen to your salesman! Sales of the 4.4 are minor compared to the 4.2SC, you get the same fuel un-economy with less grunt and the noise is SUPERB!

Get the SC and enjoy life on the dark side!! L319 D4 HSE

RRUK & MDP: I can fully understand what you guys are talking about..... Very Happy . My rear engine Targa is also quite loud and powerful, so I definitely don't want to drive a slow car.

It seems the RRS SC owners are more opinionated than the RRS 4.4 owners....

Perhaps passion always triumph over reason????

Well, I bought my RRS 4.2SC today! Very Happy
Buckingham Blue + Ebony interior + Ebony wood (instead of Cherry wood....but don't know the exact name for it).

It should arrive before Christmas this year.

Thanks to everyone for their valuable suggestions!

I have a confession to make.

I believe that buying this RRS 4.2SC is completely illogical, and irrational.

First, I live in an urban jungle. The last time I drove off-car was last Dec in a Porsche Roadshow in a Cayenne for 30 min.

Don't know when we will go off road again

Second, with the gas prices going up so fast, I am buying a real gas-guzzler. What happens if gas prices double again in 3 to 5 years?

Third, it only sits 5, but it is so big and barely fits in my garage.

But....wife and I like it a lot....so.....forget logic and reason....
